The drive from Tampa to Key West is roughly 425 miles, and the final 100 along the Overseas Highway are among the most scenic in the country. Done right, it makes a flawless three-day supercar weekend. Here's the exact plan we give our own concierge clients.

Day 1: Tampa to Miami

Leave Tampa by 9 AM and take I-75 South, then the Turnpike into Miami. That's about four and a half hours with one stop. Have lunch in Coral Gables, then continue onto US-1 south. By late afternoon you'll cross onto Key Largo as the light turns gold over the water. Check in around Islamorada for the night.

Day 2: The Overseas Highway

This is the day you came for. The Seven Mile Bridge is the highlight — drop the windows (or the top), keep it under the limit, and let the car breathe. Stop at Bahia Honda State Park for the best beach views on the route. Roll into Key West by late afternoon with time for Duval Street and sunset at Mallory Square.

Day 3: The Return

Take US-1 north again but save time for a stop in Miami or a late lunch in Naples on the way back. If you'd rather not retrace the route, we can arrange one-way logistics — call us and we'll work it out.

Which Car to Pick

  • Porsche 911 Turbo S — the all-round choice: comfortable, fast, and immune to heat.
  • Lamborghini Huracán — for pure theater on the Seven Mile Bridge.
  • Ferrari 488 GTB — the soundtrack every bridge deserves.
  • Mercedes G63 — if you want the views from a higher vantage point.

Practical Notes

Budget for premium fuel at roughly $60–$80 each way in a supercar. Speed enforcement in the Keys is strict and photo radar exists on parts of US-1 — this is a drive to savor, not to sprint. Most clients do the trip in two days down and one back; three nights is even better if you can spare the time.

Book Your Weekend

Tell us your dates and we'll have the car detailed, fueled, and delivered the morning you leave. We'll even pre-plan your photo stops.
