Renting an exotic for the first time is exciting — and a little intimidating. We've walked hundreds of first-time renters through the process. Here's everything you need to know before pickup.
Before You Book
Most exotics require the renter to be 25+ with a valid driver's license and proof of personal auto insurance. International renters need an International Driving Permit in addition to their home-country license. If you don't have personal auto insurance, our damage waiver covers up to $2M for an additional fee.
What to Expect at Delivery
Delivery is 30–45 minutes. We'll bring the car to your home, hotel, office, or the airport. We walk through every control — start/stop, gear selector, drive modes, parking brake, lights, signals, infotainment. We explain the quirks (low front splitter, wide turning radius, sensitive brakes) and we hand you a printed cheat sheet for reference.
Your First Drive
Take it slow for the first 30 minutes. The cars accelerate harder than anything you've probably driven, so the first time you press the throttle will be a surprise. The brakes are also much more sensitive than a normal car — plan ahead.
First-Time Tips
- Start in Comfort or Normal mode — not Sport or Track.
- Pull out of the parking lot slowly. Exotics have wide turning radii.
- Watch the front splitter on driveways and speed bumps.
- Don't try to launch the car from a stoplight. Save it for the highway.
- Use the parking brake — many exotics roll in Park.
- Don't park diagonally. The low front ends scrape easily.
- Take photos — but pull over somewhere safe first.
- Stop and enjoy the moment. You're driving an exotic.
Best First-Time Exotic Rentals
We recommend the Corvette C8 Z06 for first-timers — approachable, affordable, and easy to drive. The Porsche 911 Turbo S is the next step up. The Mercedes G63 is the easiest SUV. The Lamborghini Huracán and Ferrari F8 are reserved for more experienced drivers.
What Does It Cost?
Daily rates for first-timer-friendly exotics: Corvette C8 Z06 from $699, Porsche 911 Turbo S from $999, Mercedes G63 from $899. Damage waiver is mandatory and adds $50–$150 per day. Fuel is on you — we deliver with a full tank, and you return it with a full tank.
