After thousands of luxury rentals in Tampa, we've learned what separates a great rental from a forgettable one. Here are our top tips for getting the most from your luxury rental.
1. Book Early
Peak season (October–May) books out 2–4 weeks in advance. Last-minute bookings are possible but limit your choice of vehicles. If you have a specific car in mind, book 30 days out.
2. Rent for Multiple Days
Single-day rentals are the most expensive per-day. Multi-day packages reduce the rate by 20–40%. If you can spare two or three days, the math usually works.
3. Consider Midweek Pickups
Tuesday and Wednesday pickups are often the cheapest. Friday and Saturday pickups are the most expensive. If your schedule is flexible, midweek rentals save significantly.
4. Understand Insurance
Our damage waiver covers up to $2M with a $5,000 deductible. If you have personal auto insurance with collision coverage, it may extend to rentals — check with your insurer. Credit card rental coverage typically does NOT cover exotics.
5. Plan Fuel Costs
Exotics require premium fuel (91+ octane) and burn it quickly. A Huracán driven enthusiastically uses about $40–$60 of fuel per day. Plan for this in your budget.
6. Plan Your Photo Ops
Tampa has incredible photo locations — Bayshore Boulevard at sunset, the Don CeSar in St. Pete, Sparkman Wharf, and the riverwalk. Plan a route that includes 2–3 photo stops to maximize the experience.
7. Check the Weather
Convertibles are best November through April (cooler, less humid). Rain is more common June through September. If you're renting a convertible, check the forecast before pickup.
8. Ask Questions at Delivery
Our delivery team is there to help. Ask about quirks, drive modes, fuel stops, and any concerns. We want your rental to be memorable for the right reasons.
9. Add-Ons to Consider
Chauffeur service for events, additional drivers for road trips, and GPS for out-of-town trips. We also offer custom florals and ribbons for weddings.
10. Return Clean and Full
Return the car with a full tank to avoid refueling fees ($150 minimum). Light cleaning is included. Heavy cleaning (interior detailing) is $150. Mechanical damage and missing fuel are itemized separately.
